In Jesus Plays, Jesus returns to the 21st century, this time to the United States.  No matter what Jesus says or does, Christians and non-Christians alike don’t recognize him.

Despite their lives improving when they use Jesus’s ideas, they conspire against him either to kill him or to force him into the role of their Christ/mafia-king.  But Jesus has new ideas at play.
