In 1 & 2 Samuel, we encounter the biblical prophets experiencing YAHWEH in wild ways.  It just might be what the 21st century needs — if you’re brave enough. There are no beliefs, no rituals, no equipment needed except your body. The only membership requirement is that you breathe — and even then at your own pace. It’s what a lot of priests and bishops and and pastors and rabbis and imams most likely fear — it would take away their jobs if you knew.
And through this primal religious experience referred to in 1 & 2 Samuel that has been stifled by authorities for so long, the sick become well, the dead come back to life, the hungry are fed, the bloody-thirsty and violent become peaceful and calm.  It’s not Judaism, it’s not Christianity, it’s not Islam . . . but it is the root of all three of these modern religions.
It’s ecstasy.  No drugs needed.  And it’s just sitting there waiting for you and me…
