Kyle Powers is a children’s book author with a passion for teaching and uplifting students of all ages. Kyle is originally from the Midwest, but now works in Chattanooga, Tennessee where he is the Dean of Students at an elementary school. From receiving multiple degrees in education and leadership from Wittenberg University and The University of Cincinnati to winning teacher of the year three times, Kyle is truly passionate about positively impacting students on their educational journey and beyond. In his free time, Kyle enjoys spending time with friends and loved ones, traveling, and finding the best food spots in town! Kyle hopes that this book will inspire children to always believe in themselves and to always try new things.
Katie Brobst is a children’s book illustrator, painter, and designer. She currently lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee with her new husband, Jaelan, and their dog, Vince Gill. Katie owns her own art studio where she not only creates but also teaches in the community. After growing up in Knoxville, Tennessee, Katie earned her Associate of Science in Teaching and then went on to Maryville College to gain her Bachelor of Art degree in Child Development and Learning. Now she is working her way through her master’s program at Radford University. Katie loves to learn and teach. She is thrilled to bring Rodney the Rhino’s story to life and hopes to continue to illustrate stories for children to enjoy for years to come.
